Here is a partial list of our services:
Immediate Care & Support for Health Emergencies: Our office is available
for walk-in emergencies weekdays between 8:30 am and 9:00 am. Please, arrive at
our office during this allocated time so we can respect the patients that have
scheduled appointments. For children who are ill or have ear pain, or if you
experience symptoms related to Urinary tract infections, Fever, or Chest pain,
please call our office immediately or come in during this allocated time.
Management of Acute Injuries and Infectious Diseases:
Sports Injuries, Suspected Bone Fractures, Inflammations, Muscle Sprains, Skin
rashes/Hives, Burns, Abdominal/Digestive, Discomfort, Allergies, Sinus trouble,
Pneumonia, Flu, Cold, Fever, Female Issues, Urinary Tract Infections, Wound
Care.
Management of Chronic Diseases: Hypertension,
Diabetes, Asthma, Thyroid Disease, Mental Health Issues, Sleep Disorders,
Arthritis/Rheumatism, Anemia.
Newborn Care: Developing a
strong relationship with your doctor beginning from birth is
important for continued health and wellness. Individual
consultations with Dr. Poonawala for newborns and their
families are highly recommended. Includes age appropriate
immunizations, dietary and developmental guidance.
Pre-operation Physical Exams: Includes
Lab work with blood count, cholesterol, liver and kidney
screening, Urinalysis, an EKG, preparation and clearance for
surgery.
Laboratory Services: Lab work services are
available weekdays between 8:30 –
9:00 am. As part of
the routine annual exams, Lab work includes blood count,
glucose, cholesterol, liver and kidney screening, which is a
full-scale metabolic
panel. Additional blood tests are
done upon Doctor’s or patient’s orders.
Vaccinations: Tetanus shots are done once every
10 years. Pneumonia over the age of 65. Flu vaccines are
given between October through January when available.
Maintaining vaccination records is part of our patient care.
Children’s vaccinations are done at age appropriate
intervals.
Minor Surgeries and Procedures: Mole
removals, cyst removals, Cyst aspirations, Endometrial
Biopsies, Colposcopy and Sutures for lacerations.
Skin Care Consultations: Individual
consultation with Dr. Poonawala on Skin Therapy (reducing
wrinkles, active acne, scars and sun damage to heal problem skin or prevent skin
problems). As part of her expertise, Dr. Poonawala recommends dermatology-tested skin care
products to fit your individual needs.
Microdermabrasion, Light and Laser Services:
Individual 30-minute appointment with our Medical Assistant
helps to minimize wrinkles, scars, sun damage, active acne
and improve the appearance of your skin with no pain or side
effects.

Prescriptions:
Upon the Doctor's review and approval, our office is happy
to call in prescriptions directly to the pharmacy of your
choice or provide written prescriptions at your request to
pick up. Please give the office 24 hours to process any
prescription refills. Prescriptions are usually written for
the whole year during Annual Exams. For additional refills
and written prescriptions that have already been written
during the Annual Exams, there is a $5.00 fee per
prescription medication. There is a $25 charge for obtaining Prior Authorizations if your insurance requires.
Referrals: Our office coordinates care with
as needed Specialists and authorizations are obtained with
appropriate insurances. It is your responsibility to know
whether your insurance requires a referral to see a
Specialist. Our office needs 3 to 7 business days to process
any referral requests. Our office does not back date
referrals.
